The School Day

Every second in school counts! 

We really value every second in school as an opportunity to 'Rise to our best'. 

Our timings of the school day are as follows:

• Breakfast club is available from 8am
• 8.35am - The front gate is opened and children walk straight into classes. Teachers are on the classroom doors ready to meet and greet. 
• 8.45am - School day officially starts. External classroom doors are closed and children are expected to be seated and learning by this time (compulsory start time). 
• We have a staggered lunch between 12pm and 1.30pm. 
• 3.15pm - End of school day. Children are dismissed 1 by 1. Parents and carers are welcomed onto the playground (compulsory end time). 
• After-school club is available from 3.15pm. 

Our timings meet the requirements of a minimum of a 32.5 hour week. 

Children in Reception, Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2. must be collected at the end of the school day.  In the interests of the safety and security of the children we would like to know if for any reason there are any changes in people collecting children at the end of the day, please contact the School Office. Children in Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6) may walk home with written parent/carer permission.
