Are you ready to make a difference to individual lives, supporting learning and community? We are looking for two passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our collaborative academy, which is dedicated to developing our great team, centred around humility and respect.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Upton St James CofE Primary School, in Torquay, part of St Christopher's Multi Academy Trust. As part of your role you will be providing support to our Year 2/3 class or our Year 6 class, assisting the teacher within a classroom setting.

Upton St James CofE Primary School is a small school with around 105 pupils, which has been serving the community for over 100 years. Cited by Ofsted as maintaining a good standard of education and having an unwavering dedication of seeing ‘every child as an able child’, Upton St James CofE Primary School is a school that seeks to develop pupils’ understanding and respect for themselves and the wider world, thorough a broad and balanced curriculum.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a calm and patient demeanour, who are committed to helping young people achieve their full potential. You will have had previous experience in working with children in a similar setting and be able to effectively communicate with adults and children alike.

Please visit www.stchristophersmat.org for an application form. Your completed application form should be returned by email to HR@stcmat.org by 9:00am on Friday 28 May. Interviews dates are yet to be confirmed.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful candidates. Candidates are encouraged to read our Safeguarding policy before applying.
