We met Richard Branson!

The children at Upton St James had the most wonderful experience linked to our school vision of 'Rising to our best'. The children had a Teams call with Richard Branson from Necker Island and had the opportunity to ask him a range of questions, including:

*What has been your favourite adventure? 

*What was it like in space?

*How did you travel in an amphibious car?

Following the Teams call, the children met a Virgin hot air balloon pilot, Steve, who answered their fantastic questions about hot air ballooning. The Virgin team then presented the school with a piece of Richard Branson's hot air balloon - The Atlantic Flyer (1987). A day the children (and staff) will never forget!
